Hi, hiya, hiiiiii there friend.
How are you doing this fine day? Oh, I’m so glad to hear it. Thank you for asking, I am well.
I had a little herbal tea party today. No particular brand to mention nor blend to steer you towards, just me and my ridiculous collection of dried plants in glass jars. It’s not a perfect combination, but light enough to be pleasant for sipping and still flavorful enough to be memorable. It’s cooling enough to drink hot, even though it’s now officially August and you’re probably shaking your head at me in disbelief.
You can find all of these ingredients in quality form from my beloved Mountain Rose Herbs, though I did harvest the lemon balm and spearmint from my own garden last summer.
Balmy Lemon Rose Tea (Name still needs work, huh?)
Makes: 1 mug
- 1 tablespoon dried rose petals
- 1 teaspoon dried lemon balm
- 1 teaspoon dried spearmint
- 1 teaspoon dried lemon grass
Combine herbs in mesh strainer, pour hot water over, allow to sit 5-7 minutes.
So there you have it, fire up your tea kettle and unearth your mesh strainer from the junk drawer because we’re back on the loose leaf train, full speed ahead!
Until next time,
Dretta
